Product and content policy
The standards that keep product information accurate, promotions fair and buyer trust intact.
Purpose and seller responsibility
This policy sets the standards for products, listings, brand stories, creator material and communications on Woohl. It forms part of the Seller Terms. The seller is responsible for verifying every product and claim it supplies, even when Woohl helps format a listing or suggests wording through a tool such as Samah.
Woohl may ask for substantiation, edit presentation, pause a listing or remove material when a product appears unsafe, unlawful, misleading, infringing or inconsistent with the platform requirements. Approval at one point does not remove the sellers continuing responsibility.
Products that cannot be listed
Do not list counterfeit, stolen, recalled, unsafe or illegally sourced goods. Do not list narcotics, tobacco or vaping products, weapons, explosives, hazardous goods, obscene or exploitative material, products that encourage unlawful conduct, or goods prohibited by an applicable law, payment provider or courier. Regulated products may require special approval and licences; Woohl may decline a category even if a sale would otherwise be lawful.
Do not split a prohibited product into parts, disguise its category, use an inaccurate customs or courier declaration, or ask a creator to make a claim that the listing itself could not lawfully make.
Mandatory product information
Listings must accurately state product identity, material or ingredients, quantity, size or fit, colour and variation, country of origin, manufacturer or importer, MRP and selling price, applicable taxes, warnings, shelf life or expiry, care instructions, warranty and return terms where relevant. Requirements differ by category; the seller must follow the law applicable to its products and provide licences and certificates where needed.
Images must show the product a buyer will receive. If styling props, model shots or AI-generated visuals are used, they must not create a materially false expectation about size, colour, contents or performance. A bundle must state everything included and any item shown only for context.
Claims and evidence
Health, beauty, safety, sustainability, origin, certification and performance claims must be truthful, specific and supported by appropriate evidence. Do not claim a product is organic, clinically proven, cruelty-free, handmade, recyclable or government approved without the necessary basis. Before-and-after imagery must not hide material conditions or imply results a typical buyer should not expect.
Testimonials and reviews must reflect genuine experiences and any material incentive or connection must be disclosed. Woohl may request substantiation and remove a claim while it is reviewed.
Images, video and intellectual property
Sellers must own or have permission to use uploaded photographs, music, video, logos, packaging art, copy and other media. Obtain model releases and creator permissions where needed. Do not copy another brands product photos, imitate its identity in a confusing way or upload content that infringes copyright, trademarks, designs or privacy rights.
Woohl may crop, resize, transcode and display approved media for product pages, collections and agreed promotions. The underlying ownership remains with the seller or its licensors. A seller should tell Woohl promptly if a licence expires or content must be removed.
CSV imports and data quality
The blank catalogue template on the site uses a 25-column import format. Use one row per variant, stable variant options, numeric prices and inventory, packed weight and dimensions, accessible image URLs and accurate category and tag information. Keep supplier cost private and do not place confidential information in buyer-facing descriptions.
A successfully parsed file is not automatically an approved listing. Woohl may reject incomplete rows, inaccessible images, suspicious prices, duplicate variants or categories that need compliance checks. The seller should review every imported product before publication.
Creator and promotional content
Creators may choose to present eligible products in their own voice, subject to programme rules. Sellers must provide honest product facts, safe usage instructions and approved claims. Paid, gifted or otherwise incentivised relationships must be disclosed as required by advertising standards and law. A seller may not require a creator to post a false review or conceal a material connection.
Product samples, exclusive offers and sponsored campaigns are optional and must be agreed separately, including content rights, budget, approval points and attribution terms. Standard seller onboarding does not create a mandatory creator charge.
Pricing and availability integrity
Prices, stock and dispatch estimates must be current. A reference price, strike-through price or scarcity statement must be genuine. Do not manipulate stock status, create fake demand, make unsupported countdown claims or cancel orders to avoid honouring a valid price. Genuine mistakes should be corrected promptly and handled fairly with affected buyers.
The seller remains free to sell on other channels. If the seller uses a channel-specific promotion, it must still describe the Woohl offer honestly and follow any agreed campaign terms.
Buyer and community conduct
Do not harass, discriminate against or pressure buyers, creators or other sellers. Do not publish private contact, financial or order details in public content. Order information may be used only for the order and allowed support, not for an unrelated marketing message. Sellers should direct support through the approved Woohl workflow or hello@woohl.com.
Do not buy fake followers, ratings or orders; coordinate false reviews; manipulate attribution; or divert a Woohl buyer to another checkout to evade the agreed terms. Genuine criticism may be answered professionally with accurate facts.
Review and enforcement
Woohl may use automated checks and human review. Depending on severity, we may ask for a correction, limit visibility, remove a claim, pause a product, stop a campaign or suspend the seller account. We may act immediately where safety, fraud, law or personal data is at risk. When practical, we explain the reason and allow the seller to supply evidence or correct the issue.
A seller may request review of a decision by emailing hello@woohl.com with the listing or order ID and relevant documents. Woohl may report unlawful conduct to a regulator or affected service provider where required or appropriate.
